I have always wondered about my obsession with food – I could probably think of several reasons – from my childhood experiences, my grandparents always had the best food.  My grandfather was a real character and wild Wye salmon, rabbits, wild asparagus etc just used to appear and my grandmother would spend the whole day cooking for the evening meal, that was heaven to me.

Far from my elusive dream job in the food industry, whatever that may be, I felt I needed a platform to communicate with others about my passion for good food, cooking, eating out, and everything else foodie.  My family then went on to be one of the biggest fish merchants in the UK and through those connections I often found myself cooking for the likes of Mark Hix, Tim Hughes and Marco Pierre White's chefs.  I loved it when they came to stay because I could spend hours talking food with them.

I hope to be able to bring my love for food into this blog, and that you will find something of interest to read here.
